Orientation about the course, preliminary preparation of soil samples, procurement of nursery inputs, land preparation, procurement of organic, inorganic and plant protection chemicals. Application of manures and fertilizers. Application of herbicides, sowing of seeds, Transplanting of seedlings, preparation of main field. After care in the main field, weeding intercultural operations, training and staking of plants, post harvest treatments, determination of maturity indices. Harvesting of produce, sorting, grading and packing (post harvest handling practices), Transportation and marketing of fresh produce, maintenance of yield register, updating of cost of cultivation expenses, Data analysis and report writing visit to good vegetable fields/ Research Institutes/ Private seed production plots and final report submission (receipt – Expenditure statement) .
